KEYNOTES

that bring the spark back

My high-energy keynote talks spark new meaning, deep reflection, and serious fun.

I use real-life stories, my own research and the latest science, and lots of audience interaction (from ski lessons to live songwriting) to shift how people feel about their work.

1. SIGNATURE TALK:
THE FUN JOBS PROJECT

Reigniting culture with meaning and serious fun

What It’s About

I burned out as I was a meaningful work expert with 20 year global consulting and research experience. I decided to do something radical and started the Fun Jobs Project: an experiment to reconnect to a sense of meaning by taking on “fun jobs”. From the opera stage to the ski slopes, I uncovered a core insight:

Who  it’s for

Serious fun is the skill that unlocks purpose, energy, and performance.

Leaders and teams who want to feel more connected, motivated, and alive in their work—whether the challenge is disconnection, low energy, or lifting an already strong culture higher.

This talk explores what belonging at work really means and how to create it—reframing it as a personal as well as shared responsibility. Through story, reflection, and interaction, Ross shows how connection, contribution, and shared voice create a culture people want to be part of.

If you want to feel you belong, then help to build the place that belongs to you.

4. Performance & Achievement

Getting past FEAR

Fear shows up in work everyday—masquerading as control, perfectionism, or hesitation. But we rarely name it.

In this powerful talk, Ross reawakens a spirit of childlike wonder—and invites the audience to ask, “What if?” Sharing stories and insights from teaching kids to ski to show how playfulness, curiosity, and a shift in mindset can reveal fear for what it is: a signpost you’re on the way to somewhere that matters.

This talk shows leaders how to spot fear and disarm it to unlock achievement.

5. Connecting to Purpose

Even a bunny can make a difference

How to connect your team to the feeling of purpose

Purpose is powerful—but only when people feel connected to it.

Ross creates a deep connection to purpose through warmth, humour, and raw emotion. With stories from his time as an Opera Extra (including a stint on stage as a giant rabbit), playful interaction, and thoughtful reflection, Ross shows leaders how to help their teams feel more motivated, fulfilled, and energised—by reconnecting them to the impact of what they do.
